1. Your business
This is the most important part. Fields marked recommended matter most for search and AI answers. Use the same name, address and phone number you use on Google, Facebook and everywhere else.
Address
Hours
Your profiles elsewhere recommended
Why is there no star rating section?
Google doesn't allow businesses to mark up reviews of themselves on their own website, and ignores that markup for local businesses. Marking up ratings copied from Google, Yelp or Facebook can even lead to a spam penalty. The best way to benefit from reviews is to keep collecting them on your Google Business Profile, which search engines and AI tools read directly.
2. Services or products
List your main services, so an AI answering "who does ___ near me?" can match you to them. Use the words your customers would search for.
3. People (optional)
Add the owner or key experts. Credentials and expertise help answer engines judge whether your business is a trustworthy source.
4. Frequently asked questions (optional)
FAQ markup is one of the most useful types for AI answers. The questions and answers must also appear, word for word, on the page where you put this code.
Why don't my FAQs show up specially in Google?
Since 2023, Google only shows expandable FAQ results for government and health websites. The markup is still worth adding: AI answer engines and other search engines read it to understand your answers.
5. Events (optional)
Classes, workshops, tastings, grand openings. Event markup can still earn special listings in Google search.
6. Get your code
Each block below is ready to paste exactly as it is. Don't wrap it in anything else. Empty fields are left out automatically.
Where to paste it
Edit the page, add a Custom HTML block (or an HTML widget in Elementor) and paste. It won't show visually.
Page settings → SEO basics → Advanced SEO → Structured data markup, or use an Embed Code element.
Add a Code block to the page, or use Page settings → Advanced → Page header code injection.
Paste it anywhere in the page's HTML. The page header isn't required; search engines read it anywhere on the page.
Test it
- Schema.org Validator: paste your page address to check every block is valid.
- Google Rich Results Test: shows what Google can use for special search listings.
- Update this code whenever your hours, services, address or phone number change. Outdated details get repeated in AI answers.
